Mehmet Turan Güllaç, who has been involved in machinery import and trade in Karaköy since 1957, started air compressor production by assembling the parts he imported in 1968. He opened his store in Galata Hardware Market in 1973 and started the production of completely domestic air compressors under the Vibkosan brand in Kartal Yakacık in 1984. Production was moved to the new facility in Tuzla İstanbul Deri OSB in 2006.
